I’ve been writing this blog since 2009. When I first started, my aim was to share with readers some of the ideas I have tried out in my own life to help me (and my family) live a little greener, and also to share information what businesses and groups in the area have done to move in the same direction.

This is my last ECOfreak blog, and I wanted to say that just because I’m saying goodbye doesn’t mean I won’t still be working on applying these ideas into my everyday life. I’ll also still be writing for WYDaily – I’ll just be focusing on some new (and not-so-new) and exciting things.

The one biggest thing that’s changed in my life over the last three years is how much easier it has become to consider environmental impacts when I make decisions. From what I get at the grocery store to what I buy for my home to how I travel, it has become second nature to me to consider sustainability when I’m making my choices.

I certainly don’t always make the right ones, but I can say that I am trying hard to walk the walk while I’ve been talking the talk.

I’ve gotten good feedback from some of the groups and businesses I’ve featured, so I hope I’ve helped connect people in the community to these eco-friendly businesses and products.

Maybe I’ve helped answer some readers’ questions about green living, or at least given readers new questions to chew on.

I just wanted to take time out in this last blog to say thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts with me, and to let you know I will still be with WYDaily working hard to keep readers connected to what’s happening in the community.
