Congrats to Carrol Bailey!  She won a $10 Gift Certificate for Sweet Frog Newport News. I try and make Frugal Living choices everyday, but I would love to see what you do!  Frugality is being sparing, thrifty, or economical  with your food, time or money, and avoiding waste.

Maybe you hung a load of laundry out to dry, or painted an old dresser to make it look new again.  Did you cut the lights off today?  Ever thing about trying to make homemade laundry soap or making homemade cookies for Valentines day?

I am fixing the dollar shower liner by punching new holes instead of replacing yet.

Instead of ordering some new office supplies, we are checking with other departments and "bartering" supplies.

I am teaching the kids to hang their bath towels to dry in order to reuse before washing them agaIn. Save energy and soap.

I shop in the middle of the week, that way I can get the red tag items in the meat department. I save about 30-50% buying meat this way.

I brought my diet soda to work from a 12 pack instead of buying from the machine at work.

I am going to use left over hamburger buns as garlic bread. Just spread butter, sprinkle parm and garlic seasoning and broil. Not gonna waste my buns!!

Although my family rarely eats out, inevitably we drive through McDonald's on busy activity nights. I just purchased $60 worth of McDonald's gift certificates from Save 30 for $42.00 at a 30% savings of $18.00.

I ate a banana, which means I didn't use a bowl or have to wash the bowl or use soap. Also, less calories than my usual breakfast and cheaper.
