Update: Missing York Woman Located

The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office has located a 36-year-old county woman who went missing from her residence.

York County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Dennis Ivey Jr. said deputies had been looking for Gwen Huffman, who was last seen leaving her residence in York County around 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, and was reportedly headed to a hotel in midtown Newport News. Her car was found later that night, abandoned in downtown Newport News. Ivey said she was located this afternoon and fine.

Police didn't believe Huffman had met with foul play, but family members were concerned that she was not taking necessary medication. Family members also told police she had left home like this before.
