Closings, Postponements for Tuesday, Feb. 2 - Updated 10:35 A.M.

The weekend’s snowstorm has caused all sorts of havoc with schedules, both social and professional. Here’s the latest list of closings/cancellations/postponements for Tuesday, Feb 2. If you know of additional closings please email them to contactus@wydaily.com and we’ll be sure to post them.

The Virginia Living Museum has canceled Groundhog Night activities for this evening due to weather.

The York County School Division schools and offices will continue to be closed Tuesday, Feb. 2 due to poor road conditions. All athletic events scheduled for Tuesday have also been canceled.

The Williamsburg James City County School Division will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 2. The school board meeting set for 7 p.m. will go on as planned at the James City County Complex, Building F.

Child Development Resources – all operations will continue to be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Williamsburg Montessori will open on a delayed schedule - at 9:30 a.m. - on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

City of Williamsburg Refuse Collection - was cancelled for Monday.  Collection for this week will be as follows:  The Monday route will be collected Tuesday, February 2.  The Tuesday route will be collected Wednesday, February 3rd.

All activities at the Senior Center of York, including a scheduled H1N1 vaccine clinic, have been canceled for Tuesday, Feb. 2. For more information, call the Senior Center at 898-3807.The H1N1 vaccine clinic has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Walsingham Academy will open on a two-hour delay Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Providence Classical School in Williamsburg will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Greenwood Christian Academy in Williamsburg will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Hampton Roads Academy will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Gloucester County Public Schools are closed for students Tuesday, Feb. 2. All school personnel should report under Code 3.

Newport News Public Schools are closed for students and staff Tuesday, Feb. 2. A school board work session scheduled for 5:30 p.m. today has been canceled. Driver education behind Todd Stadium has also been canceled.

Jefferson Lab will open at 10 a.m., a two-hour delay, on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
