Busch Extends Christmas Town's 2010 RunBy WYDaily Staff Thursday, February 25, 2010
The star attraction Christmas tree at Busch Gardens' Christmas Town.
Visitors to Busch Gardens' inaugural Christmas Town wondered what they could do between Christmas and New Year's, since the new attraction was slated to close the weekend after Christmas. This year they'll be able to stay put, since park management announced it would extend Christmas Town's run through New Year's Eve. “We kept hearing from guests that they were looking for something to do between Christmas and New Year’s. We listened and are extending the schedule to accommodate that request,” said Busch Gardens General Manager John Reilly. The addition of five days - barring weather closures like the one in December - will have the park open for a winter experience Fridays through Sundays from 3 to 10 p.m. beginning Nov. 26 (the day after Thanksgiving). The park will be open daily Dec. 17 through 31, with the exception of Christmas Day. The park will close at 9 p.m. on Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and Christmas Eve. Additional Christmas Town details planned for the 2010 holiday season will be announced later this year. |
