Meet the City Council Candidates Tonight

Williamsburg City Council candidates will have a chance to meet their community tonight during a candidate forum sponsored by the Williamsburg Democratic Committee.

The forum begins at 7 p.m. at the Stryker Building, 412 N. Boundary St.

According to an announcement on the Democrats' Web site, those who attend will "hear the candidates, ask them questions and get to know" the men seeking election.

Five candidates are running for two open council seats. Mayor Jeanne Zeidler has announced she won't run for re-election; incumbent first-term council member Bobby Braxton is seeking a second term.

All the candidates are expected to attend.
