WMBG-bankrobbery-4.7.10
City police are looking for this man, who robbed the BB&T Bank on Second Street Wednesday afternoon.
Williamsburg police are investigating an early afternoon robbery Wednesday at a Second Street bank.

Police responded to the robbery at the BB&T Bank in the 300 block of Second Street at 2:50 p.m. A male suspect had entered the bank and given the teller a note demanding the teller give him money. Police have declined to release the contents of the note, and Deputy Police Chief Dave Sloggie said the suspect did not display a weapon.

The suspect was described as a white male between 17 and 24 years old, between 5'4" and 5'8" tall and very slim and pale. He wore wire rim glasses, a long-sleeve blue and white checkered shirt, green and white cargo shorts and grey, low-cut tennis shoes. He also wore a ball cap.

The suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash, and entered a waiting beige or gold-colored Plymouth minivan with unknown Virginia license plates in the parking lot of a motel adjacent to the bank. A second suspect was driving the minivan. He's described as a white male between 25 and 30 years old with a medium build and wearing a black hat.

The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Second Street, out of the city.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Williamsburg Police Investigator Michael Rice at 259-7207 or the Crime Line at 1-888 Lock-U-Up.
