A former York County Cub Scout leader faces additional felony charges for alleged sex crimes against children.

Timothy Scott Cain, of the 100 block of Post Oak Road, was charged Thursday with 10 counts of rape and five counts of taking indecent liberties with a child under the age of 18.

Last week he was charged with more than 20 felony counts of carnal knowledge of a pair of juvenile girls.

York County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Dennis Ivey, Jr. said the charges stem from three child complainants.

Cain, a 40-year-old chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy, is being held without bond at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. A preliminary court hearing has been set for July 8.

A sheriff's spokesman said earlier that the investigation had given no reason to believe any children supervised by Cain in his scout troops would be among his accusers.

York began its investigation last week after two accusers approached the sheriff's department. All the alleged crimes occurred in York County between 2006 and 2009.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

Is there any updates on the charges filed against Timothy Cain from April 9th 2010? Or has a hearing date been set yet?
