Man Found Hanging from Bridge

A James City County man was found hanging from a bridge on Route 5 early this morning.

Lt. Eric Peterson said a pedestrian spotted the body of Mical Harvey suspended from a bridge on John Tyler Highway shortly after 7 a.m. Harvey, 37, appeared to be hanging from a dog leash.

The bridge is located in the 3100 block of John Tyler Highway, just west of Patriots Colony Road. The road was briefly closed to traffic but was reopened at 9:30 a.m.

Peterson said the death was under investigation.
