Thieves Target Unlocked CarsBy WYDaily Staff Wednesday, September 08, 2010
Sometime overnight Sept. 1 to 2 items were stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in the 100 block of South Margaret Court. A York High School ring was stolen out of one car and some tools were stolen from the other. Overnight between Sept. 2 and 3 in the early morning a digital camera and case was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of School Lane. Sometime during the night Sept. 4 and the early morning of Sept. 5 in the 300 block of Harrod Lane a vehicle's window was smashed and some stamps were stolen. Two other vehicles were gone through located in the 300 and 400 block of Harrod lane during this same time frame, but nothing was stolen. Across the street from Harrod Lane in the Marlbank neighborhood, several vehicles were broken into and items inside taken overnight between Sept. 4 and 5. The suspect(s) broke out a window of a vehicle in the 900 block of Marlbank Drive and stole an iPod Touch. A side rear window of an SUV parked in the 100 block of Loblolly Drive was broken and a laptop inside stolen. And a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Tides Run was rummaged through, but nothing was stolen. Overnight Sept. 4 and 5 a grey, 2010 Toyota Camry was taken from a residence in the 100 block of Valentine Circle.
