JCC Administrator Plans To Meet With Residents

James City County’s new administrator, Bob Middaugh, will be traveling to meetings in all the county districts to talk to residents.

Each discussion is designed to give citizens a chance to meet the administrator, talk with their supervisor and discuss the County’s overall direction, services and citizen participation.

“My years in local government have taught me the importance of citizen involvement and two-way communication,” says Middaugh. “Listening to taxpayers is vital as decisions and policies are made to address growth and change. I hope these conversations will enhance that respect and confidence in our County government as we look to the future.”

County residents are invited to attend any of the meetings held over five consecutive Thursdays beginning September 30. Each discussion starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be hosted by the Board of Supervisors member in their respective District.

The meetings will be held:

September 30, Berkeley District hosted by Supervisor Mary Jones, at the James City/Williamsburg Community Center (Room C), 5301 Longhill Road.

October 7, Powhatan District hosted by Supervisor Jim Icenhour, at the Human Services Building (auditorium), 5249 Olde Towne Road.

October 14, Jamestown District hosted by Supervisor John McGlennon, at Rawls Byrd Elementary School (gym), 112 Laurel Lane.

October 21, Roberts District hosted by Supervisor Bruce Goodson, at James River Elementary School (cafeteria), 8901 Pocahontas Trail.

October 28, Stonehouse District hosted by Supervisor Jim Kennedy, at the James City County Library in Norge, 7770 Croaker Road.
