Public Can Get a Peek at Christmas Town, Meet Local Businesspeople

The Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance will offer the public a sneak peek at a little part of Christmas Town at their upcoming Hollyfest event.

Guests will get a chance to hang out in the Germany section of the park and ride Curse of DarKastle, Der Werbelwind (the Swings) and Der Autobahn (the Bumper Cars). They will also get the chance to see two holiday shows, “O Tannenbaum” and “Deck the Halls,” and enjoy a dinner in Das Festhaus.

“This is an early glimpse of Christmas Town, without the lines,” says Allaince spokeswoman Linda Stanier. “It’s also a chance for people to meet others in the business and tourism community.”

Aside from rides and dinner (either a German Sampler Platter or pizza), guests will also have a chance to play some games and enter a drawing for a $2,000 savings account donated by Old Point National Bank.

The November 18 event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and is open to the public, but not to children. Tickets are $35, which includes a card for three free games and free parking, and a chance at the savings account drawing. Call the Alliance to purchase tickets at 229-6511 or visit their website.
