Williamsburg IT Company Secures Social Security Contract

An information technology service headquartered in Williamsburg has been awarded a $140 million contract to provide support for the Social Security Administration.

SDV Solutions, Inc., which has its corporate office on Waller Mill Road, has secured a contract to provide comprehensive IT support to Social Security for the next seven years. SDV will partner with CompuCom and Lexmark.

“Experience, the appropriate partnerships and a track record that speaks to a high level of trust are key components in providing IT hardware and services to an entity like the SSA,” says Mike McMahan, president of the SDV. “This was a full and open competition, and along with our partners, we’re delighted to have been awarded the contract.”

SDV’s Woodlawn, Md. office will serve as the control point for the maintenance required to keep the agencies offices running. SDV will also hire hundreds of new employees across the country to provide IT support for SSA regional offices, field offices and processing centers.
