York Investigates Restaurant HoldupBy WYDaily Staff Tuesday, November 09, 2010 York-Poquoson sheriff's deputies are investigating a Saturday night armed robbery at a Chinese restaurant.The robbery happened around 8:10 p.m. at China Ocean, a busy restaurant in the Patriots Square shopping center at the corner of Route 17 and Fort Eustis Boulevard in York County. Restaurant employees told investigators the suspect, a white male believed to be between 18 and 20, entered the store through a rear door. He brandished a medium-sized black handgun, pointing it at the three employees who were present and demanding money from the cash register. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, leaving the employees unharmed. The suspect wore black sweat pants and a black sweater. He wore a black mask that covered his face and head, along with dark sunglasses. A victim told investigators he was able to see just the suspect's noise because it was uncovered.
