Various electronic items were taken in all three burglaries, although police have not yet linked the crimes.

The first occurred at a home in the 700 block of Lafayette Street between 3 and 8 p.m. Monday. The other burglaries took place in the 100 block of Mill Neck Road sometime between 10 p.m. Monday at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police have no suspects, but are asking residents who may have seen something unusual in those areas to call police at 220-2331.

I feel that every citizen should constanly be aware that folks appear about this time every year just in time for the holidays to see what they can steal. Remember not to let your guard down, besure doors are locked both in your home and vehicles. Cover any electroic equipment when you are not in the vehicle with a dark piece of cloth so when they look in they are not able to see that you have it. Alot will not break in if they do not see anything. Also when out shopping be sure to put packages in trunk, out of sight. :)

There was a time, not so long ago, when crime wasn 't that rampant in the city, you could leave you doors and windows open and have not fear of breakins. Not so much anymore!
