Armed Robbery at York Game Store

Armed robbers held up a popular York County game store Saturday night just before closing.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office reports that around 10:55 p.m. two men robbed the Game Stop in the 2600 block of George Washington Memorial Highway, just north of the Victory Boulevard intersection. No one was injured.

The two suspects are described as black males, standing 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. Both men wore black pants, dark ski masks and aviation-style sunglasses. The suspects wore puffy-style winter jackets, one green and one black.

They displayed dark-colored semi-automatic handguns, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators are still trying to determine what type of vehicle the suspects may have used to leave the area.
