Weather-Related Closings, Cancellations for Sunday

If Christmas Day's easy snowfall just wasn't enough for you, today's should satisfy. Accumulation of up to nine inches is expected during the day throughout the Historic Triangle. Overnight is likely to produced a couple more inches in Yorktown's mid to southern reaches, and about an inch in Williamsburg and James City County. James City County: All James City County government offices, community centers and convenience centers will be closed today, December 26, due to current weather conditions. Residents are advised to stay tuned to local media for the latest weather updates. County closings and weather-related information will be posted on the County web site; Cox Cable channel 48; Facebook; and the County’s emergency hotline, (757) 875-2424. Williamsburg: Waller Mill Park is closed Sunday, Dec. 26 due to inclement weather.

Williamsburg Regional Library is closed Sunday, Dec. 26 due to inclement weather.

Businesses

A Touch of Earth in The Gallery Shops at Lightfoot will be closed Sunday, Dec. 26, due to the weather.

Buggy Bathe Auto Wash, Lube & Detail Shoppe located at 2217 Richmond Road in Williamsburg will be closed today due to inclement weather.  Also closed is their Virginia Beach location at 4357 Shore Drive.

CoCo Chocolatier is closed due to the weather.

Computer Concepts in New Town (5118 Center Street) will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 26.

Heritage Humane Society is closed Sunday, Dec. 26. Essential personnel only should report.

Trader Joe's in Williamsburg will close at noon Sunday, Dec. 26, because of the weather. The Newport News store will also close by noon.

Williamsburg Landing is operating under its Weather Emergency Plan as of 11 p.m. Christmas Day until further notice. All employees should respond as assigned.

Community

Hickory Neck Episcopal Church in Toano has canceled all worship for Sunday, Dec. 26, due to hazardous road conditions.

Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists have canceled their worship services for Sunday, Dec. 26.

Attractions
Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 26, because of inclement weather.

Mariners Museum will be closed Sunday, Dec. 26, because of inclement weather.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Williamsburg will be closed Sunday, Dec. 26, because of inclement weather.

Monday Cancellations, Delayed Openings

Chesapeake Bank - all branch locations delayed opening Monday, Dec. 27 until 10 a.m.

DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum - The 1:30 and 4 p.m. performances of An Acoustic Christmas by the Miller Rowe Consort in the museum's Hennage Auditorium planned for Monday, Dec. 27 have been replaced by been replaced with Hammer Dulcimer Wonder and Joy with Timothy Seaman at the same times. The Miller Rowe Consort musicians are unable to travel here from South Carolina.

Dream Catchers at the Cori Sikich Therapeutic Riding Center is closed Monday, Dec. 27.
