Garbage Pickup Delayed in Some Areas of York

York County's public information office announced late Tuesday afternoon that trash pickup would be delayed in some neighborhoods because trucks cannot collect garbage containers.

Because plows have piled snow in front of garbage containers in some areas, automated colllection trucks aren't able to get close enough to containers for pickup.

Residents are asked to leave their containers at the curb, and York County's collection contractor will send a truck back to collect containers affected by this issue.

The following areas of York County will not have their garbage collection completed until Wednesday, Dec. 29, because of weather and resulting road conditions. Residents of these neighborhoods are asked to leave their containers at the curb for pickup by the close of business Wednesday: Woods of Tabb, Jessica Drive, Autumn Way, sections of Kanawah Run in Running Man, and sections of Kiln Creek (Lexington/Royal Colven).
