York Supes Choose New Board Leaders

There will be new leaders on the York County Board of Supervisors in 2011.

At its annual reorganization meeting Tuesday the board elected a new chairman and vice chairman.

District 4 Supervisor George Hrichak was the unanimous choice for board chairman. He has served on the board since 2008. District 5 Supervisor Thomas Shepperd was elected 4-1 as vice chair, with District 2 Supervisor Sheila Noll dissenting. Shepperd has served on the board since 2002.

The entire board will be up for election in November, with current terms ending Dec. 31 of this year.
