Update: Police Locate Missing LHS Student

Missing: Randylin "Randy" Wright

James City County police this morning located a Lafayette High School student who had been reported missing Friday afternoon.

Major Steve Rubino said 16-year-old Randylin "Randy" Wright was found safe this morning. Yesterday police had begun to distribute flyers asking for citizens' help in locating the girl, who was last seen walking away from Lafayette High Friday afternoon. A family member had also distributed a flyer asking for citizens' help in locating the girl.

Rubino said media attention about the missing teen led to telephone calls from the public last night, and interviews this morning led to Wright. Family members were concerned because they considered it out of character for Wright, who lives in James City with a legal guardian, not to be in touch. Police had no indications of foul play, they said.
