Historic Triangle Shuttle Service Starts In April

Riders can enjoy free shuttle service between Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown starting April 15.

The Historic Triangle Shuttle, a free service provided by the National Park Service, will be in service from April 15 to Oct. 31. The free service departs every 30 minutes from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center, traveling two routes – one along the Colonial Parkway to Jamestown and the other to Yorktown.

Shuttles to Jamestown and Yorktown depart from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center every 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Return service to Colonial Williamsburg departs every half-hour from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a final departure at 5:15 p.m.

Additional shuttles provide transportation to the Historic Triangle’s attractions. The Jamestown Area Shuttle makes stops at Historic Jamestowne, the Glasshouse, Jamestown Settlement and Jamestown Information Station parking area along the Colonial Parkway. The shuttle completes the loop every 10 to 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

In Yorktown, the trolley shuttles visitors between the Battlefield Visitor Center and the Yorktown Victory Center, and makes stops in the Yorktown village, including at Riverwalk Landing. The Yorktown Trolley runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will operate only on weekends between April 2-10.

The buses for the shuttle are provided by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in cooperation with the National Park Service. For more information about the shuttles, click here.
