Busch Gardens Offers Buy One, Get One Deal For Virginians

Virginians have a chance to buy special tickets to Busch Gardens.

Busch Gardens is offering a new promotion for Virginia residents to buy one ticket and receive a second free.

Starting today, Virginia residents who purchase a single-day ticket online here can receive a second ticket free for Busch Garden’s Bring a Friend for Free promotion.

When the park reopens for its regular season in March, guests will see an updated Oktoberfest village, new kid-friendly shows, including performances from Yo Gabba Gabba’s Hip Hop Harry and DJ Lance Rock, and the return of the Ramp Jam, featuring extreme sports athletes. Busch Gardens Pass members will enjoy a sneak peek at the new Oktoberfest village during Pass Preview Day on March 19.

The Bring a Friend for Free offer is valid for Virginia residents and must be used by May 22. The park opens its 2011 season on March 26. It will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the spring, and daily from April 1-10 and April 15-24.

Last year they offered the kids under 5 tickets free after I had bought a full-price season's pass for my (then) three year old. When we tried to get a refund, they added three months to it, whatever that does... if they do the free under 5 again then we're still out the 90-whatever bucks! I guess if they don't then we get a couple months at the beginning of the summer though? I dunno...!

Several yrs back it was $35 for an adult season's pass, that was awesome.

Obviously, this is aimed at Virginians, not "locals". You are right, if you are a local who buys a one-day pass, isn't doing the math very well. I'd say having the park here and open and expanding is a pretty good deal.
