Pretzel Coaster Build-Off On the Way

Busch Gardens and Snyder’s of Hanover are joining forces again to host the Pretzel Coaster Build-Off, and the contest kicks off next week.

For the third year in a row, the two organizations challenge contestants to use any type of Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels and a glue gun to create a miniature roller coaster.

Five semi-finalists and the 2010 defending champion will get an all-expenses-paid family trip to Busch Gardens Williamsburg to compete in the final round on July 14. The estimated value of each trip package is $1,065.96.

During the final competition, the semi-finalists race the clock to create a pretzel replica of one of Busch Gardens’ coasters. The grand prize winner will be awarded a four-pack of two-year, Two-Park passes for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA and a year’s supply of Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels, among other prizes, with an estimated retail value of $1,307.96. Second and third prizes will also be awarded.

Busch Gardens Tampa is also hosting a pretzel coaster build-off this year.

Residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina are eligible to participate in the Busch Gardens Williamsburg event. All entries must be submitted between March 14 and June 3.
