York County Man Charged in BB&T Robbery

A York County man has been charged in the robbery of a BB&T Bank in James City County last month.

James City County police obtained warrants charging Levy G. Monroe, 27, of 131 Banneker Drive in York County, with robbery and grand larceny.

On March 21, a male subject entered the BB&T located in McLaws Circle and handed a note to the bank teller demanding money. The subject then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Monroe was already in custody at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail on unrelated charges when he was served with the warrants.
