Today's Waller Mill Earth Day Event Canceled

Today's Earth Day celebration at Waller Mill Park has been canceled due to expected severe weather.

The event, which was to have featured many local vendors, exhibits and hands-on activities for families, would have run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A City of Williamsburg spokesman said the severity of a band of thunderstorms anticipated to arrive in the early afternoon prompted the decision. There's no word if the event will be rescheduled.
