York Police Say 3 Burglaries Solved with 1 Arrest

A Newport News man has been arrested and charged with three daytime burglaries in York County.

One of burglaries occurred April 26 in the 100 block of Amelia Court. The homeowner was in the house but didn't answer the door after seeing it was a stranger. When the person attempted to get into the house, the homeowner snapped photos of the suspect and his car, then provided police with the images.

According to a press release from the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office, a joint investigation with the Hampton Police Division led to the arrest of 22-year-old Ramonda Donte Little, of the 1200 block of 74th Street in Newport News.

Little faces the following charges: three counts of burglary and three counts of grand larceny for break-ins that occurred April 21 in the 100 block of Liberty Drive; April 26 in the 100 block of Amelia Court; and May 4 in the 600 block of Lakeland Crescent.

Investigators recovered several pieces of propert from the Lakeland Crescent burglary, the release said.
