York Seeks Bargain Box Thieves

YC-BargainBox
York investigators are looking for this man, captured on a surveillance video inside the Bargain Box.
York sheriff’s investigators are looking for suspects who stole items left for donation at the Bargain Box on Dare Road, then entered the building and stole cash.

Property was stolen from the drop box area on April 8 and again on April 26. Also on April 26 unknown suspects, who were captured on a surveillance video, gained entry to the thrift store in the 300 block of Dare Road and took cash.

The Bargain Box is a 43-year institution in York County that runs completely on volunteers, most of them retired. Every year they donate upwards of $200,000 in proceeds right back into the community.

Anyone with information about the recent thefts should call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

The Bargain Box should be treated like a regular retail business & money should NOT be left in the store, unless in a secure safe, at any time ...
