Surveillance images show the two men who robbed the George Washington Inn early Tuesday morning.
York County and City of Williamsburg investigators are working on two early-morning robberies at local hotels.

On Tuesday, two black males dressed in dark clothing robbed the George Washington Inn on Route 143 in upper York County. York investigators were able to obtain surveillance photos of the suspects.

Early this morning, two men - also dressed in dark clothing - entered the Fairfield Inn and Suites in the 1400 block of Richmond Road in Williamsburg and stole two cash boxes. City police spokesman Major Greg Riley said there was no confrontation of employees in today's robbery, and so far no complete description of the suspects.

Riley said investigators are considering the two incidents as possibly related.

No one was hurt in either incident.

Anyone with information about these incidents or any other area crime is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP, or the Williamsburg Police Department at 757-220-2331.
