I have an easy solution...post a sign on the front door that says employees may be armed at all times...and then actually allow your employees to carry concealed handguns once they get a concealed carry permit if they choose too...

This hotel and its sister hotel, the Days Hotel Water Country, have both been robbed ... could this be an inside job? A disgruntled employee?

re: Just Saying

I realize this G. How much longer before it's in JCC? Do we just wait till they start happening? How about being a little pro-active and drive around towns/business to keep it from creeping up into JCC???? Naaah---$50 speeding tickets are much better.....

The robbery happened in York County, the speed trap you referenced would be James City County.

Quoting frustrated:
Scary that so many robberies up in this neck of the woods. Sign of the times, I guess. I would like to say it is a bit frustrating to hear about all of these robberies---many unsolved---and then seeing 5 cop cars lined up within less than 1/4 mile for a speed trap in Toano between Croaker Rd and James River Equipment. Perhaps we need to spread out and keep an eye out for REAL crime in this town???

The hotel took steps yesterday to lock all of the doors and install a glass check in window. The hotel has been open since July 2000 and has not had the robberies in that entire time that it has had in the last year, therefore this situtaion is somewhat new. All of that said even with all doors locked there is no way to stop someone from coming in when someone else is leaving. Nothing is 100% secure. The larger problem is what is happening in what used to be a safe community.

This is about the 3rd time in two years for this same hotel, and its long past time to sole the problem. Not only for the public's safety, but I am sure the owner is tired of getting ripped off.

If this is not the same individual/s as past events, these events still must be connected.

The gas station next door is the only one in town...and probably a 20 mile radius that has a safety glass enclosed area for the store employee and money. Take a lesson from them and lock the doors at night if you need to.

What a terrible situation to be known as an easy target.
