York Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing at Apartment Complex

York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a fatal stabbing at the Clairmont apartment complex.

A family member staying temporarily in the residence, located at 300 Arcadia Loop, called the police at 12:11 p.m. Thursday to report the stabbing of a 39-year-old female. When units arrived on scene, they found the woman had suffered life-threatening injuries. Medic units pronounced her dead on the scene.

Deputy First Class Mike Russell said police are investigating the case as a homicide, but are waiting for the medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death. The victim’s name has not been released.

The police have no suspects, but are investigating leads, Russell said. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-Lock-U-Up.
