York Commonwealth's Attorney Candidates Debate Tonight

York County citizens will have the opportunity tonight to get to know the two candidates fighting to become the Republican nominee for York-Poquoson Commonwealth’s Attorney in November's election.

Incumbent Eileen Addison and her former deputy Benjamin Hahn will debate at 7 tonight as the Tuscany Forum program at Tuscany's Coffee House at the corner of Route 17 and Denbigh Boulevard in York County. Their debate was advertised by the conservative citizens' group as being moderated, but no further information was available. "Core" members of the Tuscany Group include York-Poquoson Sheriff Danny Diggs and Realtor Greg Garrett.

The Republican pair worked together for years before Hahn announced his candidacy - and resignation - in late April. Addison asked him to leave the office immediately.

They'll face each other in the Aug. 23 primary election, with the winner going on to run in the November general election. No Democrat has announced a challenge.

Doors will open tonight at 6, with food and drink available for purchase. The Forum plans another debate of York County candidates July 21.
