Williamsburg police obtained a warrant for Williams on Monday. He is being held at the Portsmouth Jail. On Tuesday, Williamsburg Police Major Greg Riley said, city police obtained a second warrant, for 34-year-old Gary Clements Ridley, who lives in the 1400 block of Darren Drive in Portsmouth. Riley said investigators followed information that led to Ridley. Both suspects have been charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and conspiracy. Williamsburg police say Williams and Ridley entered the bank a week ago Tuesday, indicated they were armed and took an undetermined amount of money. They then fled on foot through the Village Green subdivision. |
