WJCC Bus Stop Info Now Available Online

A new web-based program will help Wiliamsburg-James City County parents and students find information about bus stops online.

The program will provide information about specific bus stop locations, along with pick-up and drop-off times. The link to the bus stop information can be found here (the service is temporarily down, according to spokesperson Greg Davy).

Families will be able to enter their home address into the system to find their exact bus location and the bus’s estimated arrival time. Parents can also track their children’s buses on Twitter, where WJCC posts any information about buses that have been delayed (read our story about the Twitter accounts here).

WJCC said it is possible the program won’t recognize some addresses, especially newly constructed homes or recent developments. Families having difficulty accessing information should contact the Transportation office at 259-7187 or 259-7198 for assistance.

Over the summer, the system will only supply information for students attending summer school. Summer school for elementary and secondary students starts July 5. The system will also track bus information for students attending Clara Byrd Baker’s Book Club and Project Reclaim programs. Information for the upcoming school year will be posted in late August.
