Shots Fired as Guests Leave Party in Upper York

York-Poquoson sheriff's deputies are investigating a report of shots fired at a carload of guests as they left a party in the 700 block of Colonial Avenue in the Queenswood neighborhood of upper York County.

The incident occurred around 11:11 p.m. Friday.

The suspect’s vehicle, described as a gold SUV with no front plate, drove up behind the victim’s vehicle with the lights cut off, sped up and fired several shots.

Reacting to the shots, the driver of the victim’s vehicle sped up in an attempt to flee and crashed in a front yard.

The victim’s vehicle did not have any bullet holes of fragments from the shots, police said, but several shell casings were located in the area.

Two victims were treated at the scene for minor abrasions that stemmed from the accident.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information on this crime to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
