No Injuries in Ft. Eustis Blvd. Crash

A juvenile driver will face charges after causing an accident in York County that involved a Virginia State Trooper and another motorist.

According to a statement by the state police, the accident happened just after noon Sunday on Fort Eustis Boulevard, just west of the Route 17 intersection.

A juvenile driving a 1999 Honda CRV westbound on Fort Eustis Boulevard rear ended a 2008 Toyota Yaris that was stopped in the westbound lanes, yielding right-of-way at Elmhurst Drive to oncoming eastbound traffic. The impact pushed the Yaris into the eastbound lanes, into the path of a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria patrol car driven by Virginia State Trooper J.H. Galbreath.

The area where the accident occurred is in the construction zone of the Fort Eustis widening project.

All involved were wearing seat belts, and no injuries were reported.
