JCC Woman Identified as Homicide Victim

York-Poquoson sheriff's investigators have identified the woman found dead Sunday morning in the Oaks at Fenton Mill neighborhood and announced they are treating her death as a homicide.

The dead woman is Kuan-Yu Trevillian, a 48-year-old who lived in the Springhill neighborhood in James City County. She was reported missing to James City police Saturday night, police said.

A passerby called police around 8:15 a.m. Sunday to report what appeared to be a body in some tall grass off the roadway of the residential area. When deputies arrived they discovered Trevillian's body.

Police would not provide any more information Monday evening, except to say the investigation was ongoing and involved both the James City and York-Poquoson departments.

Trevillian was discovered about 10 miles from her home. She was wearing a white shirt, dark blue sweatpants with light blue stripes and orange and grey athletic shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
