Investigators Search Dead Woman's Home

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Department is releasing little information about the progress made in the murder investigation of 48-year-old Kuan-Yu Trevillian, who lived in the Springhill neighborhood in James City County.

Sgt. Dennis Ivey, Jr. of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Department confirmed that investigators carried out a search warrant around midnight on Tuesday at Trevillian’s Springhill home. Ivey said that he could not release what investigators were looking for or what, if anything, was found.

Ivey said investigators have determined a cause of death, but he is unable to release that information at this time.

Police said that Trevillian was reported missing to James City police Saturday night.

Deputies discovered Trevillian’s body around 8:15 a.m. Sunday after a passerby called police to report what appeared to be a body in some tall grass off the roadway of the residential area.

Trevillian's body was discovered about 10 miles from her home. Ivey said she was found wearing the same jogging outfit witnesses said she wore when she was last seen Saturday evening while running in her neighborhood: a white shirt, dark blue sweatpants with light blue stripes and orange and grey athletic shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
