Busch Gardens Launches First Smartphone App

No one likes to stand in line for roller coasters, or spend precious minutes hunting for a public bathroom. Keeping these issues in mind, Busch Gardens has created a new mobile app to make the park more convenient for visitors.

The app, available for download from the App Store on iTunes Thursday, sends park-specific information such as coaster wait times, restaurant menus, show schedules, restroom locations and more to guests’ smartphones. An interactive map lets GPS-compatible phones navigate the park easily.

“Busch Gardens’ mobile app is another tool available for guests that can make a visit to the park more enjoyable,” said Busch Gardens Marketing Vice President Dan Dipiazzo. “It will change the park experience for anyone with a smartphone.”

This is the first mobile app offered by the park.

“We are using the full capabilities of today's smartphones so the mobile experience is as thrilling as our attractions,” Dipiazzo said. “Now finding your way around the park or a place to eat is just a click away.”

An Android-based version of the app will be available soon.
