The James City County Police Department is looking for a white man who robbed the RBC Centura Bank on John Tyler Highway in the Governor’s Green Shopping Center at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday.

The suspect entered the bank carrying a small, dark-colored bag and wearing a white hoodie with a dark-colored shirt underneath, dark-colored baseball hat, sunglasses, a blue surgical mask, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and yellow or tan work-style gloves. He walked up to the teller and presented a note demanding money.

After the teller complied, the suspect fled behind the shopping center on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The Newport News Police Department used a K-9 unit in an attempt to track down the suspect, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as between 25 and 30 years old, 6’1” to 6’2” tall and having a skinny build.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
