Airport to Announce New Airline Thursday

The Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport will announce the addition of a new airline Thursday.

The Peninsula Airport Commission will host a press conference at 10 a.m. Thursday to introduce “a brand new airline to the region,” according to a press release. Representatives from the unnamed airline will be on hand to answer questions.

On its Facebook page, the airport asked its fans to guess what the announcement would be. Fans weighed in with their best guesses, suggesting Southwest, Allegiant or United airlines.
