Woman's Stabbing Death Remains Under Investigation

There are still no charges in the death of 27-year-old Tabitha Russell, a James City County woman who was stabbed in the throat August 26, but James City County Police have arrested a man for a fight that preceded the altercation that led to Russell’s death.

William Gray Bozarth II was arrested and charged with malicious wounding for fighting with another man before the stabbing, according to Maj. Steve Rubino of the James City Police Department.

Rubino said in a press release that Russell, of Judy Drive in James City County, died at 9:29 p.m. from a stab wound to the throat after a physical altercation with another adult female and other individuals in the Windy Hill Trailer Park on Judy Drive.

Russell was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have questioned a number of individuals, but no arrests have been made due to conflicting information from witnesses, according to Rubino.

The death, which police have ruled a homicide, remains under investigation.

Tabby was a beautiful person who never deserved this kind of death. She loved everyone and was always smiling! If I was having the worst day of my life I would be smiling after a phone call from her. And I just experienced one of the worst days but she was laying in a coffin in front of me. Why? Who does such a ruthless act. Justice will be served!!!!! Rest in peace Tabby. xoxo

"The Code of Silence!"
Don't tell...!"
C'mon, it takes just ONE very brave, caring person to break the "code" for the person who was murdered.
