Never say; A victim is not injured. You better believe he or she is injured. Violators have the residence address, possible keys, identification, medications needed, and much more. The degree of fear and future suspicion does not vanish into the day or night.

There is too much of this happening, and getting worse. Merchants with cameras indoors and out, please keep them working.

Burger that was my mistake, thought I read that in one of the reports, but I have no knowledge of the case other than what I've read. A better description of the perps was released today, hopefully that will help find them.

I hope they catch these punks/cowards/l osers. 4 on 1 assult with a knife to a female? That type of cowardice suggests perps who are not very self-assured and needed each other's presence to do this, which points toward adolescents or young 'adult'. The location suggests they may live in Highland Park, or that they use the railroad tracks to move around. As a City resident I'd happily pay a few $ more in taxes to get our police dept a scent dog, which might be useful in tracking these parasites down. What pathetic excuses for humans these individuals are, and I hope the victim is OK. Is there anything we can do for her?

This is real simple folks.
If the victim had a chp and carried a nice little .38 special in the bag that was stolen. The victim could have easily "showed" it to the perpetrator when he "showed" his knife.
PROBLEM SOLVED.

Quoting MaryC:
Although the robbery did not occur on Campus, the robbers are heeding the message of the W&M regulation against guns. Even in town, you can already see the effects of W&M's philosophy against gun violence If you believe that.....I have a bridge to sell you.

What?

Are you suggesting that promoting gun use on a college campus would make robbery at knife-point less likely? Or that a philosophy against gun violence is a bad thing? How can you even link the two?
