Candidate Debate Set for Local Senate, House Races

The Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance will host a debate for locally contested races for the state Senate and House on Tuesday.

The debate will be moderated by Mark Duncan, Chair od the Alliance’s Government Affairs Committee. He will pose questions to John Miller and Mickey Chohany, vying for the 1st District Senate seat, and Robin Abbott and Mike Watson, vying for the 93rd District House seat.

Questions will center on issues of interest to residents of the Historic Triangle. The moderator will accept written questions from the audience.

The debate will be held at the Williamsburg Library auditorium at 7:30 a.m. Doors will open at 7 a.m., and the event should wrap up before 9 a.m.

As I viewed this meeting arranged by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance....... two questions came to mind, The first is why at 7:30Am in the morning and the second is, where are most hard working voters of this city and county at this particular time of the Morning?

Anne - see the first sentence. The debate is Tuesday (Oct. 18). Doors open at 7 a.m.; the debate begins at 7:30 and will wrap up by 9.
