UPDATE: York Sheriff's Office Says Missing Teen Has Been Found

.The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has located for a 17-year-old Yorktown girl who had been missing from home since Nov. 28.

The high school senior had left a note at her home saying she would be staying with someone and would be safe, according to the police. She did not say with whom she would be staying, and police considered her to be a runaway.

Lt. Dennis Ivey, Jr., of the Sheriff's Office, said Dec. 13 the girl had been located and was in good health.
