York Man Charged with Crimes Against Child

The York County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 64-year-old York County man Monday for sex crimes against a female child alleged to have taken place in his home over a period of four months.

Phillip Charles Walker is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to a press release.  The charges stem from incidents that occurred at the suspect’s home, located in the 100 block of York Warwick Drive, between Aug. 17 and Dec. 3.

According to the press release, the victim was an acquaintance of Walker’s.

He was arrested at his residence without incident.

Walker is being held without bond at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
