Stock the Trolley Food Drive Saturday

The Williamsburg Area Transit Authority is hosting a food drive Saturday called “Stock the Trolley.”

WATA’s Williamsburg Trolley will be stationed at the Monticello Marketplace Shopping Center outside Martin’s and ready to collect non-perishable food items to benefit FISH, the local food pantry.

WATA is offering a trolley token that is good for a free round-trip ride to the first fifty people who donate.

The trolley will remain at the shopping center from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday. WATA will continue to accept food donations at their office at 7239 Pocahontas Trail through Dec. 23. The office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Look here to see a list of items FISH typically looks to receive. Call WATA at 220-5493 or visit the WATA website for more information.
