City Police Arrest 52-Year-Old Man for Crimes Against Child

The Williamsburg Police Department arrested a 52-year-old man today for alleged sex crimes involving a female juvenile over several years.

 

David Wayne Mixon, who lives in the 100 block of John Tyler Lane in Williamsburg, has been charged with forcible sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration and taking indecent liberties with a child.  

According to a press release, the charges stem from an investigation into allegations that Mixon had been abusing a child for years.

The name and age of the alleged victim are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the child, police said.

Mixon was arrested in Hampton and taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. He is currently being held without bond.
