Here are our favorite Christmas albums - remember when they were called albums? If your choices are different, join the conversation and leave your favorites in the comments section. 1. Bing Crosby, "White Christmas" - Bing is the man! A beautiful baritone, all the jazz cats respected him, and he was the original King of All Media, a radio/movie/records god. 2. Harry Connick, Jr., "Harry for the Holidays" - "Frosty the Snowman" is swingin'! 3. The Gypsy Hombres, "Django Bells" - Christmas tunes in the style of the Quintet of the Hot Club of France. 4. Harry Simeone Chorale, "The Little Drummer Boy" - An all-time classic Christmas concept album. The Sgt. Pepper of Christmas records! 5. Dylan Thomas reads "A Child's Christmas in Wales" - Twenty minutes of the great Welsh poet reading his ode to Christmas. A great lsiten late on Christmas Eve. 6. Wynton Marsalis, "Christmas Jazz Jam" - Swing it, baby! 7. Elvis - all the Christmas songs, yes, every last one. Because he's the king. |
