Last-Minute Changes for First Night LineupBy WYDaily Staff Friday, December 30, 2011 First Night Williamsburg has had to make some last-minute changes to its lineup due to the health of some scheduled performers who can’t make the party on Saturday. Programs have already been printed for the annual family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration, and organizers want to be sure those who plan to attend are aware of changes. As reported last week in WYDaily, beloved Cherokee storyteller Chief Red Hawk was scheduled to perform but died Nov. 25. Playing instead in the Campus Little Theater will be Kim Kalman and Ron Fetner. The Revolving Birds cancelled due to illness, and in their designated area of the Bruton Parish Hall The Gurleys and More Than Conqueror will perform. The Gurleys were moved from Christopher Wren, where Windsome Wood Chamber Players will play alone in three early sets instead. For updated information, go to the First Night Williamsburg website. Signage being made will assist in onsite directions for these changes. Buttons are still available for the event. Click here for a listing of sale locations throughout the area. Admission is $15 per person for those ages 6 and older. Children under 5 are admitted free. |
