Jamestown Tour To Be Featured on CSPAN3

Archaeological work at Jamestown will be featured on CSPAN3 American History TV this weekend, in an episode of the channel’s American Artifacts series.

Dr. William Kelso, the chief archaeologist with the Jamestown Rediscovery Project, will lead the cameras on an “In the Trenches” tour of the island’s archaeological sites. The program will air at 8 a.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday.

Guests can take the “In the Trenches” tours in small groups from April to October. The tours allow guests to go inside the ropes and explore the land where Captain John Smith, Pocahontas and John Rolfe once lived and worked.

Many of us also have only the "basic" Cox service. Let us know when this program is rerun on another channel. Thanks

Any exposure the historic Williamsburg area can obtain is great. We have tons and tons of historic information to flood the world with. Lets get it out weekly or at least monthly. Virginia created American history....lets expose it freely.

It's a shame that Cox doesn't provide CSPAN3 to viewers like me, those with just the 'starter' package.

That costs 20 dollars a month, the equivalent package where I grew up is 14 dollars.

What a deal.
